I am the world's greatest woodworker.

Just kidding. I'm a total neophyte.

I'm 36 years old and the first thing I ever made with my own two hands was our dining room table, about two months ago. It's a travesty, but it works for its purpose.

I had so much fun doing it, I made a couple more tables to give to friends. Then somebody asked me to build one to their specs and offered to pay me a handsome sum for it. So now I'm off to the races.

I've already learned a ton by lurking, but I'm sure I'll have lots of beginner questions. Thanks in advance for your patience and your help.

John

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way. - Wayne Dyer

Welcome aboard. Ask away!! There are plenty of great people here that can help you out with and endless variety of knowledge.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"

I think I'm gonna take up dancing, now. It can't be any harder than dovetail joints.
