Howdy

Just found this forum and have a lot of spare time now and I thought I might share some of my expertise. I have been a cabinet maker and craftsmen for over 25 years and have worked in manufacturing as well as design. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to help. My expertise ranges from woodworking to autocad design including 3d modeling. I have quite a bit of experience with many materials as well as finishing techniques.

OOOOO cad! My Daddy uses auto-cad to design routers on-the-side for his friends in-house catalog specs. He tried to teach me a little last time I went home to throw me some work. He hates how many q's I have and grows impatient with me much like some of the fella's here . I used a cad program designed for Josten's years ago, BEST job I ever had! Will find you for finishing techniques as I am a beggar of knowledge.
WELCOME! You will fit right in and have a great time here! Heather

I have been using Autocad for over 10 years (almost every day) now and can use it for most any 3d stuff, but i've been messing around with Solidworks lately. Seems like more & more engineering firms are using it. I also have quite a bit of experience with graphics programs like Corel and Illustrator & all the Adobe products.

I used to have a CNC at my old shop and did most of the programming using mastercam. You may want to check out eCabinet systems, they have a free program (developed for Thermwood machines I think) that is as good as any out there.
