I am new to wood working. I dont really have any skills to speak of. I do have a Craftsman table saw, Craftsman band saw, Craftsman Chop Saw and a Craftsman router with table. The table really sucks. I made a mistake buying that little table. I bought the tools before I really understood that there are a lot better tools out there. I have a dovetail tool on my wish list as well as a planer.

My interest are in making garden benches, potting tables, Outdoor furniture and birdhouses. I would like to learn how to make stand alone cabinets but I know my wood skills need to come way up before that happens.

Nice to meet yall and I hope to enjoy reading yalls site.

Welcome from Canada. Don't worry about the level of your skills. Hang around here long enough and we're sure to rub off on you. If you need any advice or help at all, just ask. There are plenty of people here that are willing to help.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"
