high school newbie

Hi, my names john, I'm 16 and a junior in high school. I've allways had an interest in woodworking ever since I was young, watching my dad build our bar and various other things around the house, so freshman year I jumped on the opportunity to take a woodshop class. I was lucky to have a great woodshop teacher to help us learn all of our joints and techniques I've only followed through and finished a bookshelf and a nightstand( both at school considering my shortage of tools and space at home). I've really come to love woodworking and can't wait to start building up a shop and learning from all the great woodworkers on the forum.

These are my two projects, the bookshelf I did freshman year ( as you can tell I'm a saints fan) and the nightstand I did sophmore year. Right now I'm making a walnut and oak mission style desk which I will post in the project section
