Hi from Western Canada

HI everyone, my name is glenn - username as greenbo - in honor of my dad. I'm retired and just getting back into woodwork after a very long absence. Just setting up, but my work area is currently -11f , just a bit to cool to do anything.

Like the forum.

Welcome aboard Glenn. Nice to see another Canadian on here. I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to contribute and seeing some of your work.

Hi Glenn, glad you joined us! Minus 11? That's a little on the chilly side! I wonder..... if you were to touch your tongue to the cast iron top of your table saw, would it stick?

I thought -11F was T-shirt and shorts weather in Canada. Us wimps in Wisconsin have to have 40 degrees before we break out the shorts.

thanks for the welcome, I think some of us did that test when we were kids, I know both my younger bothers did.

I have a craftsman (ryobi clone), no cast iron but its still cold. I'm one of those guys that followed his mothers clout - put on your longjohns - 'yes mom'.

Did spend 7 - 9 years in AZ (Lake Havasu), thats the type of winter I like now but I'll have to do the next ones up here.

have a great day fella's.
