Hi there

I'm a software developer by trade, so in my everyday life if I try something and it doesn't work, I can just change what I've done and re-run it. Of course, that option's not always available with a saw or a drill.

I occasionally think I can build things out of wood - a shelf, or a table. Nothing complicated Usually what I wind up with doesn't look much like what I hoped it would. But usually it works, for what I intended. :)

I hope to find folks here who understand wood and tools better than I do, and can tell me "here's how you do that" or at least tell me "Holy cow, that's not a good idea!"

And I hope everyone's having a good holiday season so far.

Welcome to the forum Tom

I have been wood working for about 50 years now and still run into problems on making a design work out the way I want, but after enough "adjustments" I can generally make it work

The ones i hate are when you are just about finished, and find out there is no solution to the snafu, it can be rather discouraging

But you still have some high dollar firewood LOL

I used to dabble in programing at one point, if you can still count DOS...

There are plenty of people around here to learn from, I'm sure you'll pick up some nice skill of you stick around.

God I love Trigger. Inferno Cop is exactly the sort of idiocy they do, It's what makes them so cool. Met them all, great guys.
