Hi from Tennessee . . . y'all.

Well, I can't say I'm a pro woodworker yet, but I will get there. I built, with the help of many subs, my own house in 1976. Still live in it, so must have done something right.

Have just started a major remodeling project and part of my plan includes a basement wood/workshop. I hope to be able to build at least some of my cabinets for the remodel project. I only have portable power and hand tools right now, but plan to get a good table saw soon, then maybe a planer and jointer.

For my day job I'm am engineer in the mining business. I also partly own a jewelry store. At night I design custom jewelry and do jewelry repairs.

My dad was a hardwood floor finisher for 50+ years so I grew up around sawdust, varnish, shellac, etc. Looking forward to lively exchanges on the forum.

I like Tennessee a lot. Nice scenery, great food, pretty women. What's to not love?

You can never have too much pepperoni on your pizza or own too many clamps.
