Hi from Florida

I joined this site in hopes of finding a woodworker near me to apprentice under. I have done minimal woodworking in the past and I have a great desire to learn as I wait to get my own shop built and tools amassed.

I am 34 and disabled I have lyme disease which has caused a great number of difficulties for me. I would love to go to a school but living on disability and having a family wife, daughter, and foster son, really doesn't allow much for spendable income.

I do a lot of reading on the subject and have a decent idea of what each tool does and how to use them but I lack the practice and experience to use them properly. I am a good listener and I'm patient, courteous and sometimes humorous. I greatly understand the importance of safety as I have worked in dangerous jobs before. And witnessed several accidents in such jobs.

I live in Fort White which is in north central Florida and would need someone to be fairly close for me to be able to come often.

So if anyone lives near me and would like to have a hand building a project let me know.
