Hi everyone!!!!!! from texas

hi im from central texas... im realy new to all the wood working so im gonna ask sum crazy questions... i live in corsicana t b exact im looking for people close that mite b willing to help me with my crazy questions and ideas.......

Welcome, I know corsicana isn't that far west, but how is the mesquite supply around there

man there is not many trees around here that are not mesquite.... we are covered up with it... i took a load of mesquite logs to the saw mill a week ago i cant wait to see what the boards come out like

hold my beer and watch this!!!!

cutting down a mesquite tree is kinda like shooting a wood duck, the wood is very pretty, but it sure grills a mean steak too, a wood duck is one of the prettiest ducks to have mounted, but it sure does taste great.

Welcome, fellow Texan. South Texas here. we're also lousy with mesquite over here. it sure does grill great, and some of the furniture i've seen made with it is really nice. i have a ready supply of it, i just need to buy me a good band saw.
