I'm Christina from Germany (Dresden). I'm glad to be here and hope to get your unlimited energy and love for woofworking and of course an exierence. I'm a begginer in this sphere but I have such a huge desire to be realised in woodworking. So hello and thank you :smile2:
I've just started. Now I'm working on my first slab coffee table. I have absolutely*no professional experience. But actually I've made a few DIY projects like spice rack, bookcase and coat rack. But my passion are tables.*
As I've answered*for previous message*I like slab tables. So I plan to work in this way. Maybe someday I'll go to some woodworkers school. There are a lot of interesting one in the USA and Canada. I have not many tools.*I would say that I have no basic machine tools like*jointer and planer or table saw. But I’ve already bought something. Almost everything*is Makita.*
Welcome to the forum Christina and I hope you enjoy your stay with us.
There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum. I'm sure there will be suggestions to help you to achieve your goals in woodworking.
Cheers, Tom.
The completed projects you have shown us look good Christina. That is a nice slab of wood on the floor of your workshop. Is that to be a table top in the future?
Thank you!
Yes, it will be a coffee table. Now I'm learning all about epoxy:smile2:
At first I thought about colorless, but now I realise that it is impossible to properly clean the edge of something white.
I found this slab in an antique store, so it has been a little bit restored, but it was not good.
So now I'm thinking about blacke epoxy :smile2:
p.s. and sorry for my English) my native language is Russian.
