Hi

Hi --

I am new here. I kind of cut my teeth (forum-wise) in alt.woodworking and in chat rooms like TheOak (on undernet as I remember)

I have been at woodworking for as long as I can remember. I do not fit well into either Normite or Neanderthal camp, but do like to use both power as well as hand tool. I just can't help but buy and refurbish that poor old tool on the junk man's shelf, but I drool over the latest laser guided blurf as much as the next guy. :)

I would be a far better woodworker if I kept at it and made more stuff. However, as life has dealt me hand, so shall I play it. I am a collector of tools, as I am a collector of hobbies. On a good day some of them overlap and that is great, otherwise my free time is spread thinly across all the things I need to do, including both a full time career as well as owning my own business.

My garage is my shop, as well as the storage for anything my DW doesn't care to see inside the rest of the house. It is neither heated nor properly air conditioned, which also limits my effective time in shop.

I am not really complaining, I figure I am not alone :)

Welcome aboard. Are you having fun in the snow today? How hard did you get hit? Where in VA?

We got pretty near 4 feet over the last month or two. We only average about 17" per year ...
