Hey there!

Bryan here, a newcomer to woodworking. I have not even done my first piece yet, but I will soon. I live in the Southeastern Part of Georgia. I am really interested in using the lathe and making bowls of a kinds. I want to get into the exotic woods, but not before I get a little practice under my belt.

I have been watching tons of videos for the past week and have all kinds of ideas that are floating around. I should have gotten into this years ago, don't know why I waited so long.

Welcome! Plenty of advice on here to get you up to speed on all the "in's and out's" of turning. Personally I adore lathes and bowls are one of my favorite things to turn. I say this all the time to people but lathes are crazy dangerous, I'm missing a chunk of my left hand from getting it too close to a bowl I had been turning (My second one to be exact). Always make sure to follow safety procedures and wear proper safety gear, if you haven't already pick up a full face shield. I can't tell you how many times mine has saved my face from things flying off my lathe (that's what happens when you go a bit too thin on longer pieces). Do some research before you get started but once you do, it's all you're going to want to do as turning is an absolute blast!

God I love Trigger. Inferno Cop is exactly the sort of idiocy they do, It's what makes them so cool. Met them all, great guys.
