Hello from Wisconsin

Hi, everyone, I'm Dave from central Wis, retired, and a hobby-type woodworker. I've been following this forum for several months now and find it really informative and entertaining, but never had anything to say. But tonight I was reading Daren's post about basswood and decided maybe I could add something constructive, as I have done a few decorative duck decoy carvings. Also, I spent much of last winter dabbling around turning segmented bowls. I have the usual power tools (table saw, band saw, router, lathe, etc.), but also have a good assortment of vintage hand tools and now have the time to devote to improving my skills with them.

Welcome. Glad to have you with us Dave. How about posting some photos in the project showcase of those bowls and decoys. I would love to see both.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"
