Smile Hello from west Texas

Hello everyone,

My name is Trevor, I am from west Texas. I have always worked on different projects but have recently found myself woodworking more and more (extremely enjoyable to me), and am trying to put together an efficient workshop with a semi-tight budget. I have been reading the forums for a while and look forward to participating a little more with everyone here.

Welcome Trevor,

Near Lubbock here......where abouts are you from? You will encounter some very highly skilled people around here. Many vets... a lot of experience to help you. Enjoy.

Welcome from South Texas. ( i'm talking 20 minutes from the Mexican border). lots of great folks on here, and years of experience that is freely and cheerfully shared.

I just saw this. We got a few inches or so a little while back. Weather has been in the 60s lately. Good stuff. Wind was howling again last couple days. Had a grass fire northwest of the farm yesterday. Guess where the wind was from? Northwest... around 60-70mph. I was a bit concerned.

FD got it out in a few hours. I miss doing that.... fun times.

Welcome aboard!

You can stretch your $$ a bit further by using a little ingenuity, building gigs rather than buying them.

I have enjoyed reading ShopNotes for lots of ideas in these areas. Recently I built router sleds to plane and joint wide boards and the result was excellent.

Good luck with your projects
