Hello too all!

Hi, I'm new to this forum and to woodworking in general. I would like to ask the more experienced members what is a good project to get started with and some of the basic tools I am going to need? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to our forum. If you can afford it.A good table saw, cabinet type,A joiner,Drill press,Ossilating sander,Band saw,Planer,Router table with router. These will get you off to a good start providing you have the hand tools. It seems a little daunting but get one a month or whatever you checkbook can handle.Craigslist is a good place to look and there are some good deals there but do your research.Certain things can be bought at harbor freight cheap.C-clamps,screwdrivers ,acid brushes ,ect.I bought their ossilating sander and a scroll saw there and they work fine. The major power tools I pretty much stick with the brand names tho.Delta,Grizzley,Steel city,Pneumatic, ect.Sorry I kinda ran on there, Itchy Brother

Welcome from Texas !!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

If you want to use hand tools, get a good dovetail saw and a couple of chisels. Practice cutting dovetails in scrap lumber or pine. You will enjoy it.

Tools are like guns, You can never have enough.
Where did I put that tape measure???
