Hello there!

Hello everyone! I'm a new member to the site. My husband, Brian, and I are a couple of do-it-yourself-ers. We bought our 1940's home in Upper Michigan 2 years ago and are renovating it bit by bit. I am the "wood lover" in the family. I discovered I enjoy wood refinishing projects when we bought a hand-held orbital sander. I wanted to sand everything! I have done 2 dressers, a coffee table, nightstand and several doors. I definately have a lot to learn when it comes to indentifying types of wood and the best way to work with them. I certainly would appreciate any help I can get!

Welcome to the forum.

With all the sanding you have done, you will fit in just great here, we love to make saw dust as well.

Have a great day

Cleaning my glasses will not make me look any better.
But will make what I am looking at better!

Welcome to the site amiegayle!
Well with all that sanding experience I would hire you to do all my sanding. Not my favorite thing to do.

Did you say tool sale?

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Glad to be in such good company :)
Yes, I love to sand. Well, I love what a great transformation sanding does. What appeals to me the most is taking something that looks ugly and ready to throw away and making it better than new. Which is why I love refinishing furniture and having an older home.
