Hello from Texas

New guy here from just north of Houston, Tx. Enjoy woodworking but not very good at it, I'm afraid. Hoping to learn from you veterans.

Humble, you're right close to the airport.
I live just north of you a couple of hours drive, is there a good hardwood barn close around the north side of Houston that you know of? not much selection around the Lufkin area.
I'm new myself, but I'll still say welcome

Try M and G Sawmill in Huntsville. Or if you are willing to drive into town some, Clarks on 5-1/2 street. (what a name!)

Interested in my woodworking, workshop and whatnot? See http://daves-workshop.blogspot.com, want to see my other interests such as hunting, fishing, off roading, and camping? See http://wildersport-outdoors.blogspot.com

Welcome Sorrowful from Houston-290/610 area. I think you may be the closest one Ive found so far.

Hey dbhost and dat, there is also Houston Hardwoods on 34th street near 290. I think they are a little less $$$ than Clarks, quality is about the same. Also M&M-(hes kinda knew) I think he might be more of a sawmill though. $50hr for milling if you need it. Another guy is Don Collins-logsintolumber.com he is a mobile mill $40hr plus mileage-not sure how he calculates mileage, he didnt charge me for it.

Welcome again from Robert

WElcome from SE Houston

Did anyone mention Brazos Forrest Products. About the same quality, selection and price as Houston Hardwoods and about 10 min. away from them.
