Hello from Springfield, MO

I'm brand new to this forum and have already found a couple awesome posts. To share a little about myself I am twenty-three short years old, attend college at MSU, and have a large passion for woodworking. I am currently creating all the furniture for my new apartment, so I will likely post updates.

Recently I've been trying to lock in a place to do some projects off and on, but would love to apprentice and help out local guys. If you are willing to take on an apprentice or know someone that might feel free to message me directly! (or rather point me into the right direction on the forum itself).

I look forward to sharing my projects!

Go down to the Grizzly showroom and drool over their tools, probably be quite a few woodworkers there you might meet somebody that would like to work with you

And welcome to the site

Sweet, someone local! I'm in Springfield too, live nearly dead center in the city a few miles from MSU. Nice to meet you mate, feel free to drop me a line if you ever need a hand. Can't really take on an apprentice, that would be the blind leading the blind, but if you ever need a few extra hands on a project

I need cheaper hobby

Welcome here to this friendly WW forum, where there is always room for one more. Cannot help in your apprenticeship quest, but do consider contacting anyone associated with woodworking - lumber yards, carpenters, cabinet makers, etc. Be safe.

If you have a passion for woodworking the worst thing you can do is make a career of it. Then it just becomes a job. I've been doing woodworking for 45 years, own my own woodworking business and it's been decades since I've built anything for fun.
