Hello From SC

Hello all.
I have been lurking and reading the posts for a few weeks now, and have learned a lot here.

I seem to be like a sponge and soak up every little bit till my brain gets full.

I am an electrical engineer in the HVAC industry. In the past I spent several years working for a finish carpenter ( that was a while ago.)

I purchased a house a couple years ago and am now working on some renovations/remodeling. Mostly cabinets, a new bathroom and possibly some built-in bookcases.

I'm in the process of getting my shop set up (22X20). Now equipped with a 10" table saw, Router table, Scroll saw, and most of the power tools needed.

For my first projects I am looking at a couple of Valance boxes for the windows. The better half likes the Tuscan/Italian styling, so there will more than likely be some of that thrown in. I have to admit I like the look of worn wood and wrought Iron combined. I have seen a couple of nice pieces along this line and it seems easy enough.

Thanks in advance for all the info that is out there on the forum. Forums seem to be a great source for Information.

Michael
