Hello from Sacramento, CA.

Hello,
My name is Greg...but most of my friends call me Klag....my last name shorten down.
Anyway I have been working with wood since I was a kid. I came from a long line woodworkers in the family from Great grandpa my Grandad and my Dad as well as my uncles. My dad was a firefighter for 30 yrs but he also had a small wood shop in the back yard where he did Cabinet jobs on the side such as Kitchens and bathrooms etc. and I would naturally follow him out and do what he did, mostly got under foot but it did rub off. At around 10 or so I started making "stuff" out of wood like boats cars and formed wood swords with the belt sander and what ever occurred to me to make ....eventually at around 16 yrs old I got more organized and started to make "things" like open book cases and TV stands and things like that. I soon was getting paid for these things.

I am now 44 yrs old and 10 yrs as a Firefighter/paramedic and continue to be productive in the shop....I have been a cabinet maker for the past 25 or so yrs as well. My area of expertise is custom residential cabinetry such as kitchens, home office, entertainment centers. I have scaled down some. A full set of kitchen cabinets are no more but entertainment centers and furniture items like hutches are the things I like to work on these days.....and my son, who is 6 is following me out to the shop and getting under foot as well....lol by the looks of it it is rubbing off on him too...
