Hello from one of the top 10 most boring citys

Yes, it's true, Mesa AZ is has been rated one of the top 10 most boring citys in the US. How they arrived at this I have no idea, but I will vouch for it's lack of excitement.

Like most Arizonans I am from somewhere else. We moved here from North Jersey 11 years ago. What exit? 35...Halfway between NY and PA. While living there I undertook the renovation of an 80 year old house...just ditch the square cuz it won't do you any good. If anyone needs to know how to customize hollow core doors I'm your guy.

Most of my working life has been in R&D in one area or another. I was self employed as a home inspector for 5 years but if anyone has looked at the Arizona housing market lately you'll know why I'm not doing that anymore.

Right now I'm renewing my interest in wood. I'm figuring out how to put some more equipment in the garage so I have a place to work. I'm also pretty good with a camera so if I happen to build something decent I'll share it with the group.

Just one more thing...I really appreciate the fact that the people posting on this forum actually know how to write in complete sentences and use punctuation. I'm not an English major but I've read the posts on other internet sites and this place is way above the curve.

Ok, nothing more to say. See you on the board. (pun intended)

Exit 58 would put you around Tuckerton, I believe. Spent a lot of time on LBI and in Beach Haven West. I see that the lighthouse has gotten a new light.

Welcome a board. This is a good place to get educated about wood working. And you are correct about the writing skills of people on here. It sure does make it easier to read and have a "conversation."

Welcome to the forum WRDinAZ. I have never been the Jersey, but I have driven through AZ a few times. I had left La and was on my way to Ok and got lost in AZ. drove one way down I-10 and back on I-40. I never could follow directions.

WRD, your preaching to the choir here. I'm in Florence. When we want excitement we just drive down US 60 through Mesa on a Friday evening.
