Hello from Northwest Ohio

Hi there,
I have been "lurking" on this site for about a year now. Watching people post pictures and discuss topics with little(no) input from me. I feel extremely novice when I look at the amazing projects that some of you guys build. I consider myself an okay woodworker and would like to share with you what got me into woodworking. I enjoyed the wood shop part of Industrial Arts class in high school and hated the metal working part of it. Now I am a Journeyman tool and die maker which doesn't make much sense at all, but woodworking is still my favorite.

A few years ago I made the Bengal B using my dad’s band saw and I really enjoyed it but I wasn't fond of having to drive to his house and use his tools to work on my projects so I started acquiring my own tools. Building this B I learned about intarsia and built a few pieces of intarsia. Then I built my 3 daughters a doll house, and this year for Christmas I have built a few candy cane dishes and cutting boards for Christmas presents. There are countless other nicnak shelves, adirondack chairs and other stuff lying around but I don't need to overload the system with pictures on my first time really posting here.

Thanks for the complements. I am not sure how long the doll house took, probably about 6 weeks. I didn't have the tools back then that I do now so it took longer than it should of. And all if the painting slowed me down. If my wife didn't help me with that part I would still be working on it.

Born in Lima, family in Leipsic, but wasn't raised there. My wife was also born in Lima and raised in Leipsic.
Still have living relatives in Ottawa. German heritage is strong there, eh?
