Hello from the middle of Kansas

Hello everyone. I just found and joined this forum today (12/13/09), so I will use this thread to introduce myself. I am a retired Mechanical Engineer and retired from a national building supply company after 37 years with somewhere around 160 design patents.

I have been woodworking for over 50 years. I got my start with my dad in our basement making a little of everything. I am currently in my forth woodworking shop. I was moved twice by my company and then back home (middle of Kansas) when I retired. I have built all four shops and hope this is the last one as I am getting to old to start another one.

I look forward to exchanging ideas and information with everyone here. I am sure I will also be asking for input from you because even though I have been at it for a long time, I sure don't know it all.

Wow! If you were my neighbor you'd have to get a restraining order against me because I'd be picking your brain 24/7.

Welcome to the neighborhood.
