Hello from Kentucky

Hello folks. My name is Greg and I recently bought an old Delta table saw from craigslist. I got a little Harbor Freight drill press and I've mounted my router on a table so I now have a "shop". If I only had room to keep it all set up.

So you have humble beginnings ...

What are you interested in making or building? You got any hand tools... a jack plane maybe? You got any photos of the saw? What's you background in woodworking? HS shop class maybe?

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

Welcome here Greg, to this friendly WW forum, where there is always room for one more. Many woodworking facets to choose from, and IMO, you have a good starting collection of toys for your "shop". Enjoy your stay, post often, and be safe.

I've been building jigs, a portable outside worktable, a small box to store forstner bits and a Gerstner inspired tool box for my electronics workbench. I also have an interest in vacuum tube electronics. I had been doing things with hand tools like a circular saw but accuracy had been a problem, of course. I also recently picked up a 3 1/4" power hand plane. No photos of the table saw but it's a Delta Homecraft 8" model. Unfortunately it didn't come with wings so that will be a project for the near future. Many years ago, I had friends that worked in a full blown production studio with all the trimmings for wood and metal work and I got to build a couple of projects there. And I did take shop in HS but the teacher seemed scared to let us use some of the tools, like the band saw and planer.
