Thanks for the warm welcome. I've put my website address below so you can see some of my works. Puutyöt section is my woodworks and Entisöinti section is restorations which I've done.
Yes, we stay a lot inside because days are so short but soon days start to get longer (21.12 I suppose?). There isn't yet snow in this part of the country so it seems to be even darker during day. Snow makes less light seem more.
Jim, we have mostly pine, birch and spruce growing as native species. I like also alder for it's nice color.
