Hello everyone

Very new to the site and very new to woodworking. I am as novice as they come. I recently had an Uncle move to Washington state and he gave me a router table, band saw, 10" table saw, drill press and an air compressor oh and a subscription to Handyman magazine. I've always wanted to get into woodworking but never had any equipment or the time. Well the kids are becoming teenagers and now I have some tools so here we go.
I'm going to apologize up front because some of the questions I'm gong to end up asking will be very basic, but like my dad always said, "you can't know what you don't know!"
My first project was a drum sanding table for the drill press and I came out of it with all my fingers intact. Right now I'm working on a rod holder so I can move all my fishing equipment out of the garage and into the basement. The workshop is going to reside where all the outdoor stuff is now
Anyway hello to everyone and if you have any lighting questions I'm your guy, I've been in the industry since 1989.

Thanks again
Steve

Welcome...Might take you up on your lighting info offer...The older we get the more important the lighting becomes.

Welcome Steve. Glad to have you join us! Boy, from nothing to a complete shop. You're jumpin in with both feet! Don't think twice about asking questions if you're unsure of anything. Rotating blades and other spinning metal objects can quickly ruin your day.

welcome - I'm a novice too and joined a few weeks ago- I've asked several questions that I'm sure were dumb - but I always get many great useful answers. I used to learn everything the hardway - now I only do that when I don' take the time to ask!
