Hello everyone!

So sorry. I just saw this introduction forum after having made a few posts already.

My name is Kirk. I'm 51 (yarrgh) and am really just getting back into woodworking after being out of it for several years. I had set myself up with a pretty decent shop but for reasons totally beyond my control I had to sell it all a few years back.

I've just started rebuilding my shop, mostly off of Cragslist, again. I'd been using a Ryobi BT3000 TS, but realized not longer after buying it that I really missed the miter slots. I just bought a used Delta 36-650 and came here looking for help with what I thought was a motor problem. With the help of woodnthings and cabinetman my new used saw -- complete with miter slots! -- is up and running. The BT3000 will be listed again on Craigslist.

Anyway, I've been enjoying reading the forum. I've spent most of time looking at and reading about other's jigs (I love jigs).

It's so nice to have found WoodworkingTalk.com.

You can always get back. Been there done it. The only things I never give up are tools given to me by my father they mean to much and that can't be replaced. The other thing is my passion and drive. Keep the faith one step forward never back. Glad to have ya

Welcome Kirkus! You know, being 51 and rebuilding a shop from Craig's List...you sound like me!
