Hello Everyone

my name is Garry, i used to live in the southeastern part of the buckeye state. I relocated myself to the Sunshine state back in 2001. I have been fortunate in that my old High School had a program called T&I (trade and industry) for 11th and 12th grade students who elected not to persue a higher education, that would have been in 1969 &1970. I elected to take the cabinet/carpentry course, best thing i ever did. A good friend of mine that took the class also (didn't know him untill then) is still very much into woodworking as i am (imagine 39 years later) and we still call and visit. He chose to build furniture, i tried that but when the chips fell my choice was (don't laugh guys) porch swings and an occasional muzzle loader. My previous shop was 24x40 pole building finished and full of Grizzly tools , i had to sell most of those when i moved due to a space issue in my little trailer. Anyway i have since bought more tools and still build swings and muzzleloaders. I will try to download a pic of the last gun i built for my grandson in Texas. Looking forward to learning many valuable woodworking tips from ya'll.

Welcome to the forum Garry,
Nothing wrong with building guns and porch swings. Heck, in many places, they go hand in hand.
