Hello from downunder

Hi there,

I just found this forum, it has a LOT of useful info.
I'm a roofing contractor in Auckland, New Zealand.
In my spare time, I enjoy DIY and Roman army re-enactment.
In this photo, the Ballista, my armour and shield are all made by my own 2 hands.

Hello and welcome! That is a great looking ballista. Do you fellows fire them at each other? Even though they are rubber pointed I bet it still stings like hell to get hit with one! Building that armor had to take considerable skill and patience. Very nicely done.

Welcome to the forum. That is definitely some original work. I love it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Posting pictures in your introduction..........you'll get along here just fine.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"
