Hello from Connecticut

I am looking for a way to research old manufacturers of wood trim. I recently removed some door trim in my house. The back of the trim has 1866 Curns pressed into it (at even intervals down the length). I am curious to know if the 1866 is the id of the profile or if it is a date: the town has my house listed as "about 1900" but I believe parts of it are older - most especially the room I removed this trim from.
Anyone heard of Curns? Anyone know where to look for info?
