Hello all

Well I signed up a few weeks ago thought it was time to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Daniel Iím 28 years old and I live in Rapid City, SD. A little about me hmmmm well I have been messing around with wood for a while no real protects until lately. My grandpa is a wood carver he has made everything from small rosters that stand an inch tall to a 3 piece 5 1/4" thick and 3 foot tall Dove that is now hanging in a church in Des MoinesIO. He makes ornaments for all of his 6 kids and his grandchildren this is going to be the last year he does an ornament he is getting too old and his hands are shaking allot, thatís where I step in, he has taken me under his wing and has shown me allot of great techniques. I have just bought a house with my wife of 2 yrs and we have a 15 month old baby boy and a 12 yr old boy. I was able to use a portion of our garage to put a work bench in that I built myself. I have been gaining more and tools, well when ever I can convince her that I really need them. I just got a Porter Cable dovetail jig and I think after about 35-40 different cuts I think I understand it now I am in the process of making a bit box for all my rougher and dremel tools and bits its hard and time consuming but I love it. Well I think that will do for now I 'm sure I'll be asking more and more questions as time goes by. I'll try to post some pics soon(I know how much everyone likes pics). Thank you in advance for all your help.

Welcome to the forum.

You can never have too much pepperoni on your pizza or own too many clamps.
