Hello from Alabama

Hello folks!

My name is Dan and I'm a self-proclaimed "handy guy" who has recently acquired a garage load of woodworking tools. I've done some woodworking in the past, but most of it required a tube of caulk and lots of paint! I hope that I can hone my skills and start building things that fit together well enough that I don't have to hide my joints. :P

I look forward to being part of this woodworking community!

Welcome to the madhouse.

I worked with a fellow that bought wood putty by the
gallon and spread it with an ice scrapper.

And if you think I am kidding, he drilled 1/2" holes
in the back side of his mortises and used a chalking
gun to pump construction adhisive in them. With 20
or so brads, they stayed together.

Bookem,
Welcome to the forum. Well, if you got a garage full of tools, it's time to get started. Pick a simple project to get going. We'll help from a distance.
