Grumpy old guy from Florida

Howdy Everyone!

I've been messing with wood for a while, and now want to get better at cabinet making. I'm a computer geek by day, but at home I try to be a handyman to keep the home repair expenses down. Recently, my favorite carpenter retired, so rather than look for a replacement I want to learn how to make basic cabinets myself.
That has brought me here to the forum. Hopefully my basic questions won't be too annoying. I do have some experience, but I could always use knowledgeable options.

Thanks!
George

I just noticed the time that is posted on these posts. Where does this forum consider its home base for time.

As I write this it is 10:31 here in Central time and 11:31 in Eastern time.

Does this forum use Maine time? Whatever that is?

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I posted my first question, and am hoping for some good replies.

David, I changed my signature, but I didn't see it in my past posts. Maybe it just applies to new posts. I'll keep trying till I get it.

I don't have new pictures of the workshop,
I'll try to get some new pics, as I added a few tools.

George, welcome to the forum.
If anyone finds your questions annoying, they have the option of not replying.
A good many of us are retired and enjoy helping others so if you have a question - fire away.
