Greetings..

from Jacksonville Florida. I've been hacking at woodworking off and on for some 30 years. More of a hack than a craftsman. I have 2 areas that I spend time in, woodworking and photography. Semi-retired at age 59 - shoulder injury.
I'll probably spend more time reading that posting for quite a while here . Ya'll ( yes I said ya'll - it's a southern thing) have much more knowledge than I and since one can't learn anything talking, I'll just lurk and read for a while.
Thanks for this forum,
David Womack

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you here. My sister lives in JAX. She came up from Ft Lauderdale in 97. The few times I visited her I must say that it is one spread out city! We look forward to seeing some of your work.

Welcome to the forum Dave,
Don't spend too much time reading, it takes away from shop time.

Hello Dave: I never spent much time in Fl, and what time I did never had any time to go outside the airforce gates to see anything. But I did fly in and out of all of the bases going or returning from many places over the big ponds. Well I just remembered that I did attend the Water Survival School at Homestead AFB and the terrorist awarness program at Tydell AFB, but still had no time to be a tourist. Welcome to RF I'm sure you will be able to spend some time with the woodworking group here at RF. Jackie

Thanks for the welcome. Right now I am producing some of the best quality kinling in the world . Probably ought to read a bit.

I learned here today that a bandsaw blade can be resharpened.

Thanks for the welcome.

If you ever get the chance, I suggest a visit to the Keys. Once you leave the mainland ( for lack of a better word) it is like entering a different world. Very laid back.

Thaks for the welcome.

Yep, Jax is indeed a spread out city. I think it has some 750 square miles in 4 counties. We like it here except for hurricanes.

My work? I 'm making a lot of world class kinling right now
