Greeting from Naperville IL

Good Morning Forum!

My name is Will from Naperville, IL I purchased my first home a year ago and it has been exciting working with wood. I hope to learn some techniques and look forward to talking with individuals that honor this great old trade. Over the past year I have installed hard wood floors on the first floor of my home. staining and working with a nail gun was fun. Rebuilt banister, complete kitchen remodel built a double oven cabinet and center island "currently working to salvage old oak cabinets now"

Anyways I want to thank you guys in advance for any advise and for the interesting reading on the website. My background with wood is only only wood shop in public school but it gave a great foundation to basic tools and as I work on my home my tool collection has grown as well as my skills.

What I have so far: a clamps from 6 in to 5 ft, Table Saw,Circular saw, Jig saw, Dremel, Miter Saw, Drills, Router, Two Nail guns, Compressor and drill press.

Well, that's about it, I look forward to corresponding with you guys.

Sincerely,
Will

Hi Will, welcome. I' just east of you a few miles. Glad you're here. Nothing like a first house to hon your woodworking skills. I've been in mine for 26 years and I'm still working on it. Lots of great people here so don't be shy about asking questions. Everyone I've run into here seems to really enjoy helping the other guy out.
