Evening all!

My name is Allen and I am from Manhattan, Kansas. I am married with two awesome boys, one is 9, the other is 6 weeks old.

I've always been interested in working with wood, but never really had the opportunity. Now that I am older, I have decided to dive into woodworking head first. I have dabled a little in woodworking for about a year now and have decided to convert my one car garage into a woodshop. Its going to take a bit of work (my wife thinks the garage is a dumping ground for her stuff!) but I shall accomplish my mission!

I am also decent at turning wrenches on cars and working on computers, but they are very expensive hobbies and I think I will have way more fun working with wood.

I have already double my woodworking knowledge just in the past few days on this forum, and look forward to constantly learning more from everyone!

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect.
It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

First Congrats on your Beautiful Family.
Second Combat the misses by telling her all the Money you will be saving. New kitchen, Vanities, Shelving for SHOES.
Third she will get rid of you for awhile when your enjoying the Dust. Fourthly the Memories you will create with the Busters building cool stuff with Dad. I have Three Boys 4,6,8, my wife gets mad when I hold the Nail Gun on a board and let them pull the Trigger. I have Wonderful Memories of working with Dad.

You Have found the Most Professional Woodworking Forum there is and I would be Honored to help you.

Start by building a nice storage shed where she could use to dump her stuff. You get the practice and she gets her personal storage unit.

***For the record*** Ive made hundreds of guitar bodies, never put one together and cant play a note.
