From East Central Illinois
I was born and raised up on a farm. Started out using my grand pa's dull hand saw; dull hand plane; dull coping saw; dull wood chisel; (but they were just right enough to cut fingers and bust my knuckles once and awhile. Also an old 8 inch Sears table saw (that was always a guess and by golly endurance) plus the worst tool I have every used for fine carpentry was a carpenters folding rule. (I would buy a beer for the guy who invented the tape measure)
Now to date I have all Delta stationery tools and DeWALT power tools with a few Porter Cable added in.
Hope to retire in 2 short years from a 40 hour week job grind to work 60 hour week in my woodshop happily!
