From Chicago Area

New to this forum but see some names I recognize here. I'm a builder/remodeler from the Chicago area. Woodworking is mostly a hobby for me as I have specialty contractors that do most of the woodworking such as cabinets or stairs for me but when time permits I like make some dust. I've built a wine cellar and a few other things for clients over the years but most of the things I build are for myself or family.

Anyway, I'm just here to observe and pick up a few tips and of course butt heads with Leo whenever possible. What is up with that guy anyway, is he a moderator on every forum you can find or what? Is he as grumpy here as he is elsewhere, or is that just me?

It may not be the same Leo. The Leo here is a jovial, matter of fact, laid back sort of guy, that leaves sawdust on every post. I've only seen him grumpy when he has to be.

Another chi-town member here!

Welcome to the forum! I am west of chicago, in Saint Charles, and also work in the trades....

Sounds like you are just like me when it comes to making sawdust. I also do it as a hobby, and am finding it more and more therapeutic every day.

I used to be fairly indecisive, but now....... I'm not so sure.

Welcome. I'm down near Joliet, but stuck near Green Bay on a work assignment and wanting desperately to get back. I'd be happy just to rearrange the dust in my shop.
