Checking In

Hello, my name is Michael and I'm from the panhandle of Florida. I've always loved working with my hands and to this point most of that has involved mechanic and landscape type projects on my own stuff. I have been doing more and more wood working though and find I absolutely love it. Still very much a newbie at it, but learning a lot as I go. My next big project will be a large dining room table to seat 10 for my growing family. It will be a pretty basic farmhouse design and I'm very excited about starting in a couple months when we move to our new house. On a side note, is this site ok for amateur builders or is there a better site out there for weekend warrior types like me?
