Brand new!

Hi there! i've just begun my journey into the world of woodworking. I was wondering what would be some beginner's tips or main things I should focus and practice on. Thanks!

Far, far too general a question. You must be more specific as the the areas of your interest.

Well I'm interested in making an end table, but like I said, I'm brand new to this and have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

1- be carefull, these are dangerous tools
2- as a beginner it might help to buy a plan, I've gotten quite a few from "Plans Now" & been happy with them
Good luck
Dennis

Do you have any tool's?? A few come's to mind a table saw, jointer, planer, clamp's,a square, Their are lot's more. If you are just wanting to just make end table? Sound's like it will cost a lot of money. Now if you are going to stay with wood working than you will need some basic tool's. You can never have to many tool's.

I've got a few of my great grandfathers tools; a lathe, ban saw, router, clamps, and a few other things. I'm reading up on furniture books and becoming mostly interested in building those.
