Another sawmill man new to this site.

I've got a bit of reading to do to catch up on this site.

Yep, I run a sawmill with my brother and do custom milling for others. We also mill a good bit for family projects. I know enough about woodworking to be dangerous. But I do know a good bit about milling lumber, air drying and trees.

I grew up on a hard-working dairy/pig/crop farm but moved away and worked in a hightech field. In that former life I lived and worked in cities and towns throughout the Midwest. But I returned to the rural life I love. (Ok, I didn't like the smell of pig manure, but loved the country.) Somehow God got me into sawmilling.

What part of Kentucky are you in? I live in Crittenden County and could always use another sawyer for Timber. Getting ready to take a load to the mill as soon as I can haul this junk car to the scrap dealer. Paying $225 a ton for vehicles. This world is going crazy!!

Drcollins804,
I'm in Hardin County near E'town/Ft. Knox.

Thanks, but I've got more logs than I have time for already. I may say something different 6 months from now.
