Ahoy from Ohio
Hey everyone, I've been reading these forums for a while now and finally decided to register. I am a member at Contractortalk.com as well.
I've been building "stuff" as long as I can remember. My family owns and operates a tree farm in Ohio, so I've been around wood all my life. I am now 28, married to a beautiful woman, and we are expecting our first baby any day
.
I am a general contractor, but I really love building furniture and crafts. My in-laws are highly known, respected reproduction furniture makers, and upon meeting them I quickly grew to love the art of it as well. I spend my spare time, which isn't much, woodworking.
I have recently picked up my first two furniture jobs and I am really looking forward to landing more. I have the luxury of harvesting my own lumber, and all it costs me is my time. It's so much more gratifying to make a piece out of lumber you have harvested and milled yourself.
Anyway, that's a little about me. I look forward to getting to know you guys, and more importantly learning from you.
- Joe

You should check out http://woodbarter.com/ since you mill your own lumber. Its a great site. Many of the same members from here are over there. I dont want to push you away from this site cause its a great resource, just inviting you to join another great resource. Actually, I'm hoping to maybe buy or trade for some of your lumber and avoid shipping costs since your just down the street, lol!!!
