AH dang, from denver.

Im doing it all wrong (thats what sh...)

I was about to go posting away, and actually did, before introductions. Not only that, i posted a link instead of posting pics. ill have to figure out how to resize them i think.

My name is Hank. I am totally new to fine woodworking, but have big aspirations.

I just purchased a beautiful piece of black walnut; its dark like my coffee. once I take the time ill post some pics; properly. but it is to be made into a couple wedding guest books. a friend of mine, and my self are getting hitched so i figured, "hell, ill just work the kinks out buy building his, then build mine, and if I'm not happy with the first, build a new one."

problem is the only person I know with a planer lives in wyoming (where I'm from) and since I'm new to denver, I gotta haul my wood all the way back home to use it.

well, happy to be able to bounce ideas off some of the pros and hopin to learn all the magic.

Post script:
if there is another newcomer to fine woodworking around denver, let me know. we could buy Different tools and just barrow eachothers till we get up and going... that being said if your not new to it, drop me a line and lets see what we could both use, but dont have.
