About Me

I'am an apprentice trained Joiner. After my apprenticeship I got a job with Monk's of Warrington shuttering on Cottam power station Notts (Welcome to the real world) after that I worked for a number of firms ether shuttering or first and second fixing. After a few years I started working for myself. later in life I went back to working for a company in London. iam now in my 70s but still keep active this years project is a large summer house in the back garden, hope we have a summer like this year. Welcome John,

There's a lot we could learn from you. Glad you're aboard.

In the US we really don't have a formal apprentice system so I need some translation. What does shuttering mean? First and second fixing could use some explaining as well.

Hope you hang on and share your knowledge.
