Setting snap in sketchup

Does anyone know how to set up Sketchup to snap on 1/8"? I'd like to just draw shapes without having to type in all the dimensions. I can never get the shapes exactly right because Sketchup draws to 1/64", which is a bit ridiculous for my uses.

I think what you are looking for is in the Model Info which is found in the menu at the top of Sketch Up. You should see File, Edit, View...Window, Plugins, Help at the top of Sketch Up. Under Window there is an option called Model Info where you can set the precision.

Hope this is what you are looking for

Let me add that you can also type in exact dimensions when you are drawing something. Say you want to create a rectangle that's 1.5 x 3.5 inches, you just start to draw it, then type "1.5, 3.5" sans quotes. If it comes out the wrong way, undo it (ctrl-z) and try again but reverse it so it goes "3.5,1.5". You can type dimensions as you are drawing (or pushing/pulling) or immediately after you release the mouse button after drawing something.

This is WAY easier than trying to draw it right by hand!
