Mesquite Log Help

Does anyone have a source to cut up a 4 or 5 foot mesquite log into 2" planks. I've had the log for a couple years so it should be dry without metal.

I'm in the Chicago area.

Thanks

Cut it twice, measure once and it's still too short.

On the Wood Mizer site a few sawyers around Chicago are listed. I'm sure one of them can help.

If not, some one with a large band saw could easily do the job also. Check with a hardwood lumber supplier in your area for their customers who might have such a band saw.

Great thought. Thanks. That should keep my wife and neighbors happy instead of me coming home with a tow behind lumber mill to set up in the front lawn of my suburban home.

I'll check out the site.
