Making the most of my maple and cherry

The power co. came through this winter and cut down, one each, large maple, cherry, and birch trees. The short, wide logs are stacked neatly in the snow (as of April 7) with the bark on. What would you do to make the most of this wood for woodworking? I'd like to make some stools with 90 degree cuts (cookies) to show the lovely rings, but would like to have some ideas involving cutting angles or anything else.

Short and wide are terms interpretated??? many sizes and ways...LOL. Cookies wood be nice just hard to dry without cracking. Some people build sleds to saw short smaller logs on there bandsaws , I've seen a few for bigger ones but I don't recommend the dangers of handling a big log at that height. Short for my sawmill is 4 ft and some hassle, but have cut shorter with special jigs.
Show us some pics and sizes for better advise on recommending cuts.

Thanks for asking, we have many here that work with shorter pcs than I.

Have a Blessed and Prosperous day in Jesus's Awesome Love,
Tim
