Woodworking Shop opening in Philadelphia - looking to staff our shop!

Philadelphia Woodworks Members Workshop is seeking skilled and experienced woodworkers to staff our shop!!

"We are a new business, opening in the Philadelphia area in the New Year. Located in Manayunk -- Philadelphia Woodworks Members Workshop- -- is a state of the art, professional grade woodshop, where members ranging from novice to expert can come learn the skills of the trade, or build the project of their dreams. With skilled and experienced woodworkers staffing the shop, there will always be safety specialists and helpful hands at the ready. With our 8000'square facility boasting 17' ceilings and large windows that pour natural light into the shop from three walls, this isn't your grandfather's woodshop, rather it is a cultural institution where members can enjoy a comfortable working space and the company of like-minded, passionate and creative individuals. "

Nearing the end of our interior renovations, we are looking to find experienced, qualified individuals to become part of our team. We are reaching out to shop teachers, current or retired, because of the obvious interest in woodworking, proven experience, and familiarity with the equipment that furnishes both our shop space as well as our woodworking school. We also seek craftsmen from all over the woodworking, construction, cabinetry, milling, furniture, and wood related fields. We are looking to employ these individuals because they are the ones with the wherewithal to assist in the formation of members' projects, keep a watchful eye on the safety of members in the shop, and ultimately create the one-of-a-kind experience for our members. We offer full-time and part-time positions to fit any schedule, supplement a lifestyle or provide a helpful and creative outlet for those who are fit to be a member of our team.

Please visit our website at www.PhiladelphiaWoodworks.com for more information about the shop, our location and how membership works. For all interested in a position at Philadelphia Woodworks, please refer to the "Employment" page of our website, where application instructions can be found. We encourage all applicants to include any and all work samples or additional materials. Please send all application related materials to [email protected] for consideration. We look forward to meeting skilled and experienced individuals from the area to staff our shop!

When you're ready to open your Seattle affiliate, let me know.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...
