Side inlet drum with Thien baffle FREE to a good home!

I ended up getting a new Delta 50-850A with canister filter to plumb the entire shop and plan to equip it with an internal baffle so I have this Thien baffle and drum available FREE to a local woodworker from the forum here. The plastic drum is about 16" diameter by 26" tall with a side inlet and 3/4" dowel supported baffle made from 12mm 9 ply and 18mm 13 ply birch (the 12mm baffle edge is beveled leaving a 1/4" thickness at the top). I had a Delta 50-179 3/4 hp motor/fan assembly mounted on top and it worked very well however this could be easily converted for use with a shop vac or other dust collector (I'm keeping the fittings so you would need to get those). I have pictures available however I keep getting "invalid file" when I try to attach them here (maybe someone can help me with that?) so I would have to email them. I'm located near Monterey Ca and although not required it would be nice if the recipient made a little donation to Phil's site at the link below.

here's a couple of pics...

Hopefully someone will come get it soon or I'll have to take it apart so I can use the drum for scraps!

Marv,

That's a great offer! I wish you were in the Houston area... I know a couple guys that could use this...

Interested in my woodworking, workshop and whatnot? See http://daves-workshop.blogspot.com, want to see my other interests such as hunting, fishing, off roading, and camping? See http://wildersport-outdoors.blogspot.com

Never fails Don...as soon as I take it apart I find someone can use it! I'm not sure if the trash has been emptied after tossing the pieces but I'll look for them and let you know (you'll have to put it back together if I can find them)

Ok,
I'm in Walnut Creek, so it will take me a couple of hours to come down. Any excuse to head for the beach . . .
I've got a 3 hp dust collector but haven't got a separator for it, thought this might move me along

Hey Marv,

One of my buddies says your Thien is not going to be big enough for my 3 HP and that I really need a 6" Thien. Guess I really need to build my own.
Thanks for the offer though.
Don

Looks like I somehow missed this reply Don! I also missed the part about the 3 hp and in that case I think your buddy is correct on needing the 6" (I'm sure a larger diameter barrel would be more beneficial as well)
