Nice and cheap pen blanks

edit:Wed 7/04
sold out - thanks

.........

I have 5 boxes, 20 pieces per box, 3/4" sq x 5 1/4" as shown. All were dried to 6-7% but have reabsorbed to around 12%. All are ready to turn - none need to be stabilized.

The red maple are off angle cuts roughly 45 degrees off straight grain. The black stain was caused by a mineral in the soil and is more concentrated in the heartwood.

The spalted live oak is a partial penetration spalt.

The silky oak is just nice looking wood to me. My instinct is that they will make some nice pens.

$11 per box shipped to con-us. Please post to claim and PM for paypal info.

RRBrown, knottscott and many others were banned, they didn't just leave. They were banned for standing up to the new owners that are destroying this site. Come join us all at woodworking chat, the best new woodworking site on the net!!
